Investor Charter - RTA

1. Vision

To provide high quality and efficient services to investors in the securities market by use of technology, integrated with various RTAs, enabling them to invest in a fair, transparent and secure market and to get services in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Mission

  • To have simplified and environmentally friendly processes in place for ease of business.
  • To ensure that SEBI registered RTAs adhere to their investor charters.
  • To provide for alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for investors.
  • To encourage innovative and digital solutions in the securities market.

3. Details of Services provided by RTA

  • Processing of requests for change in address, bank details, mandate, etc.
  • Processing of requests for name correction, transmission, transposition, etc.
  • Issuance of duplicate certificates, exchange of certificates, etc.
  • Processing of demat and remat requests.
  • Processing of dividend/interest and redemption payments.

  • To receive copies of all documents to which they are entitled.
  • To receive information from the company/RTA in a timely manner.
  • To get equitable treatment from the RTA.
  • To have their grievances redressed in a time-bound manner.

7. Obligations of Investors

  • Submit all requisite documents for any request.
  • Provide valid and correct mobile number and email ID.
  • Demat your physical shares.
  • Check your holding statements regularly.
Don'ts
  • Do not ignore communications from RTAs.
  • Do not share your sensitive personal information like OTP.
  • Do not keep physical certificates in poor condition.
  • Do not submit incomplete/illegible documents.
  • Do not deal with unregistered intermediaries.
